HIKING UPHILL ANYONE

💓 An easy way to get that heart rate going whilst working your full body (#muscles and #joints), low

impact exercise, and let's not to forget the benefits of #internal health and wellness of being surrounded by #natutre 🌿🌿🦆🐦

SO WHY NOT GO FOR A HIKE❓ 🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶🚶

➡️ Here’s what happens when you head for the uphill hike..

YOU’LL BURN THOSE EXTRA CALORIES!

🙉 The word INCLINE might sound exhausting.. When added into our daily trek we will naturally burn more calories to reach certain heights (gravity).

YOU’LL TONE YOUR LEGS, GLUTES AND CORE!

/ Back to the incline effect: When you walk uphill, you’re pulling and pushing your body weight even more than you would on flat surfaces — and you are going to need to engage your glutes and hamstrings.

⏬ When you head downhill, your quads will need to engage into action to help stabilize your body, especially those knees.

🍻 That 6 pack hidden under the beer fat will also activate throughout the #movements, to #stabilize your entire body over uneven, rocky terrain.

YOU’LL FOCUS AND FEEL AMAZING!

🥾 Walking in nature, listening to flowing water and the #birds will help you to #focus and #relax.

🤯 Your #cognitive state will function so much better and you will be less #stressed so you can think more clearly.

Feel your body #restore itself!

YOU’LL BE HAPPIER AND FEEL MORE CHILL!

🌿 I'd have to say this is the main reason I enjoy getting out in nature. We are surrounded by #urban growth and people on top of us, moving quickly to get ahead of the game....

🧠 As if #brain and #body power weren’t enough, research has shown that hiking can reduce and even help stave off #depression!

📖 Stanford University scientists found that walking in nature for 90 minutes versus walking for the same amount of time in an urban setting reduces activity in the prefrontal cortex — the part of the brain responsible for depression.

👨‍🎓 More specifically, the researchers found #hiking can reduce rumination, or rather, repetitive, negative thoughts.

👍 How good is that for #selfdirection and #selfdevelopment

Ready for a hike anyone❓
